  • Clever Page©, which is selected as the best project proposal among tens of submitted project proposals to the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency ITIDA's Information Technology Academia Collaboration (ITAC) fund, has been granted the Product Development Programme (PDP) fund of 1 million EGP over 18 months starting from Apr. 2010 to Nov. 2011.

    This project from RDI aims to satisfy a crying need in the field of Arabic Human Language Technologies. The community of Arabic-enabled application-integrators and vendors has been for long badly seeking for a reliable, highly-performing Arabic omni font-written OCR software technology.

  • Selected from 45 submitted project proposals to the Information Technology Industry Development Agency ITIDA's Information Technology Academia Collaboration ITAC fund, RDI's Virtual Tutor project has been granted the (Product Development Programme) PDP fund of 1 million EGP over 18 months. from Apr. 2008 to Nov. 2009.

    The project aims to revolve the education via producing an advanced authoring and browsing kit that can be deployed by any entity interested in developing cultural and/or educational oriented content enriched by RDI’s speech recognition, text-to-speech, virtual talking face simulator, full text-search, online dictionaries, ..., and other RDI tools that together render e-learning into an exciting live interactive experience.

  • Among a consortium of 15 academic and industrial partners from 12 European and Arabic countries, RDI launched by Feb. 2008 the 30-month Mediterranean Arabic Language and Speech Technology (acronymed MEDAR) project that comes under the seventh Framework Programme (FP7) of the European Commission's Community Research. Sharing in this project comes after the remarkably successful Euro-Mediterranean 30-month NEMLAR  project where RDI played a major role towards its achievement.

  • In cooperation with Intel-Egypt, RDI has delivered the project with the Libyan Ministry of Education to supply the new Classmate simplified computers from Intel along with the digital curricula for the primary and preparatory stages from RDI to the students in Libya. The digital content provided by RDI is enriching the Classmate devices which inaugurates a new era in the world of digital computers for being cheap (below 200 USD) and meanwhile effective, portable, and withstanding to dust, water, and accidential collisions. This will realize the dream of bringing almost every body esp. students in the developing world to the contemporary digital age.

  • During July 2007, RDI has completed the delivery of the new comprehensive Qur'an Sciences Encyclopedia web portal to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs according to the contract signed by the two parties during late 2005. RDI 's Qur'an tools as well as its novel technology for the self-learning of Tajweed (Hafss©) are deployed to power this rich web portal.

  • RDI with ELDA, CST, and other partners from 10 Mediterranean countries have successfully finalized the 30-month EC funded NEMLAR project on Arabic Human Language Engineering and Technologies. An int'l NEMLAR conference on Arabic Human Language Engineering and Technologies had also successfully taken place on Sept. 22nd & 23rd, 2004 in Egypt-Cairo where RDI was the local organizer. More

  • RDI has finalized a large e-Learning project where all the curricula of the Kuwaiti primary stage are turned in an exciting software specially designed with high interactivity and rich Flash animation. RDI targets to make education a fun for kids at that early age. Smart Schools (Kuwait) has been the first client of these curricula.
